About the Shouty Woman

by Lucy @ 4:37 pm

I’m 25, I live in west London, and I spend a lot of time being angry.

A commenter on another blog once referred to me as a ’shouty feminist robot’ because I dared to suggest that abortion should not be made illegal. I rather liked his description (apart from the robot bit), so it became the title of this blog.

When I’m not being angry/shouty/depressed about the state of the world, I actually have a life of sorts. It consists of my job (caseworker), reading anything I can get my hands on, an obsessive interest in politics, music (listening and performing in choir), TV and occasionally socialising.

  3. Didn’t you hear about the two fetuses having a smoke and playing poker? It was touching, truly.

After two pregnancies, I have very complex feelings about the when-life-starts details, as one approaches the pop-the-watermelon moment. Nevertheless, I have very uncomplicated feelings about abortion: it’s personal, it’s private, get your laws outta my pussy.
